CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL

February - March 2016
Role: Account Manager, Creative Consultant, Project Manager & Producer

Cycle for Survival is an events-focused wing of Memorial Sloan Kettering with a mission to raise awareness and fundraise research for battling rare cancers. The CFS team wanted to heighten event visuals for their 10th Anniversary event season. Efforts were focusing on one of their most participant-engaged fixtures, the tribute wall. Previously a singular standing plywood wall, the new mobile design offers a sophisticated auto-finished steel frame and hundreds of spinning cardholders for participants to honor memories–in the form of written notes or images–representing loved ones they are fighting cancer for. By prioritizing the emotional impact the design needed to exude, the piece welcomes participants to engage with the physical construction as well as displayed content. As each cardholder is dedicated to a new personal tribute, participants make their own mark to create a larger composition of solidarity that spans the wall’s presence. Cycle for Survival surpassed $100 million in total fundraising since their creation and raised a personal best of $28 million during the tribute wall’s debut season.
